The house was previously owned by a magician in the 19th century, Zoltan Carnovasch (AKA "Carno"). Adrienne hopes to get inspirartion for writing another novel and Don takes pictures for magazines and likes the big bathroom in the house to become his studio. Adrienne begins having nightmares as soon as they move into the house beacause unknown to the happy couple, Zoltan was into black magic and summoned an evil demon which possessed him and caused him to murder his wives. beginning of Chapter 4 contains the scene which has censored worldwide for containing "rape" which, is not exactly the way I would describe the scene since the physical intimacy begins as consensual and then Don just gets a little aggressive and Adrienne cries that he's hurting her. Definitely "not cool" by any standard but not worthy of all the controversy.<br /><br />No video site allows a video with the scene to be hosted, so here's a different video that I'm not able to embed
